Singapore's iconic Raffles Hotel is a historic beacon right in the heart of the city, a colonial oasis since its opening in 1887. The atmosphere is intoxicating, tranquil beauty that epitomises the romance of the Far East and old luxury. A place immortalised by writers including Somerset Maugham, Rudyard Kipling, Ernest Hemingway and Alfred Hitchcock, it seemed the fitting place to highlight my own sequined story by Blessed Are The Meek. Enchanting in its own right, this dress perfectly complements the elegant ambiance and grandeur of the Raffles Hotel. Shoes of Prey and The Iconic teamed up to bring you the "Best Shoe Ever", a campaign which seeks to uncover the hottest shoe design in Australia. Shoes of Prey is an online store that uniquely allows you to take the designer seat and create your ultimate shoe design. With an array of luxe materials to choose from and a vast colour palette, you can buy that shoe you've always dreamed of. The launch was held at it Japanese restaurant Crane, where we were treated to delicious sushi, sashimi, teriyaki chicken and seared beef surrounded by floral shoe centerpieces and under a canopy of cherry blossoms. To top it off, we took home colourful gingerbread shoe cookies in gorgeous glass jars which literally disappeared on the ride home...what a launch!
