A day at a beach BBQ and some evening drinks with friends, this Zipporra dress is the ultimate day to night piece. Style it with a leather jacket and some ankle boots or a blazer and some pumps - this dress will easily keep you looking chic and glam throughout the season. The beautiful mesh cut-out on the back and hand-dyed silk patterning was the winner for me!

AMPR Spring Summer 2012 Shows Off

If you haven't caught on yet, Spring is in the air with Spring Summer 12 collection showings being almost every day now. AMPR has brands that lay close to my heart, having been on exchange in the States I love the US brands that they represent. If US brands aren't you, don't worry AMPR showcases brands from all over the globe including our backyard, so keep an eye for more posts soon. I was enchanted most of all by the Miss Minnie collection hitting Big W and an adorable collection of Mickey watches sold online. Now the clothes may be for teens, but you can bet I'm still going to try my darndest to fit into them anyway - size 14 kids anyone?

Spring Summer 2012 / 2013 Sunnies

Spring is in the fashion air and that means new sunglasses to save up for next season! I recently attended SAFILO group's eye-wear showings where there was much drooling over all the designer power in one room. It was held at my favourite new fashion high rise location, the Summit - a 360 degree revolving restaurant, taking the glamour to another altitude. The trends were clear with colour, animal print, cute metal detailing and side blinders in full force amongst the different brands. Here are a few of my upcoming favourites from YSL, Dior, Marc Jacobs and Marc by Marc Jacobs:

Popping Peplum

Glassons top / H&M pants / Charles & Keith heels
I have been looking everywhere (including overseas and online) for a good peplum top for a while now, so the minute I saw this stunner in Glassons it was true love. The construction is flawless, with its capped sleeves, structured yet comfortable material and precise waist line - the top fits like a dream. Glassons has always been the go-to store for affordable on-trend fashion, as my secret style weapon it has never failed me. This season I'm sharing it with you, they have all the peplum tops you can dream of including sleeveless and floral. They also have some great ankle boots in store, along with gorgeous patterned and wet-look tights, floral pants and blazers, coloured collared shirts and cosy knits. Your one-stop shop to all the pieces you will ever need to be fashionable without breaking the bank this season!

David Jones Interviews Nicole Richie As She Launches Her New House Of Harlow Designs In Sydney

Fashion "it" girl and designer Nicole Richie launched her new House of Harlow collections at David Jones Sydney this morning. She took the time to meet her biggest fans and aspiring fashionistas, with some girls traveling from Denmark and Melbourne just to be in attendance. Being such a huge House of Harlow fan, I was beside myself at the prospect of meeting one of my fashion idols. Nicole wowed in Winter Kate leather flares, a polka dot top and structured black blazer - not to mention donning some serious House of Harlow jewellery power and carrying a gorgeous House of Harlow fringe clutch.

David Jones ambassador Emma Freedman, looking fantastic in Dion Lee, took time to have a quick interview with Nicole on stage. Nicole's inspiration behind her ranges is that rock chic era where "the idea of clashing didn’t really exist and you were able to mix fabrics and mix colours, really just express yourself through fashion. That’s what [she] tries to do, bring that idea of freedom dressing back every single time she designs a collection."

Nicole also dished on her favourite winter fashion trends to swear by this season saying she loves a good pullover and scarf plus, "I think that winter is actually a fun time for dressing for me, because I think that it’s a perfect time where you can just wear jeans and a t-shirt and accessorize. You can throw on different boots, different jackets, different hats,  you really can be kind of wearing the same thing but just switch it up with the accessories - so it's fun"

If you were wondering what is the perfect House of Harlow piece to own this season, Nicole also spilled which are her favourite pieces, "my key piece is a headpiece but it is very specific, you know not every girl wants to wear a headpiece, I would say a necklace can always just dress up an outfit."

All in all it was a fabulous event with fans leaving ecstatic, the media in a frenzy and onlookers snapping away on their iPhones. I think this is not the last we'll be seeing of this stylish mum and her famous family with Nicole saying, "I love Australia so much. Sydney is my favourite city in the world. That’s true, I’m not lying. I’ve said that a million times, it really is my favourite city, I’m so happy to be here. Everybody is so nice and lovely."

Fashionably Energised By The PR Department

If you haven't already guessed it, next season is all about graphic prints, leather and pastels. I attended Spring Summer 2012 / 2013 showings recently at the PR Department and their off-beat brands are gorgeous. From Paris to Brisbane, their designs leap across international boundaries. Soot and Batson both create subtle pastels finishing them off with inspired prints, each adhering to their own individual styles. Soot being more feminine, flirty and fun while Batson oozes sophistication, french style and tailored glamour. Laksmono takes a completely different approach with deeper tones of  luxurious suedes, sultry cuts and enchanting sheers. Love Obsessed provides one-of-a-kind remade vintage jewellery bursting with neon colour! Here's a sneak peek:

Mother Father PR's Spring Summer 2012 Showings

I was so excited to see the new SS 12 / 13 ranges that Mother Father PR were showcasing for the week. They're vast range of new designs display styles for all tastes and price-points, allowing you to go from runway to real-way. The inspired graphic prints from An Ode to No One and their equally fabulous diffusion line A.D were one of a kind. Pieces that brighten your day just by wearing them. Bless'ed Are The Meek also showcased magic cutouts and seducing prints that are definite staples for next season. Limedrop revealed a colourful Egyptian inspired print while Minty Meets Munt embraced tribal inspiration along with lust-worthy layers. To top it all off the shoe range by Skin was fierce, thank you MFPR for a fabulous showing!

Unspoken

"When passion and talent unite it is a rare and wonderful friendship, such is the label Unspoken."

Previously known as Tato & Memi, designers Tanya and Marijana's Spring Summer 2012 collection is rich with subtle neons, luxe textures and glittering metallics reflecting their Luxe Océané theme. Their upcoming designs embrace the romantic in us with feminine silhouettes and strong modern lines. It's a collection that's alluring to the eye, beautifully constructed and spells effortless sophistication. This fabulous glittering gold blazer and skirt plus a delicate floral pant suit to die for were my absolute must-haves.

Tony Bianco's Upcoming Spring Summer 12 Range

Tony Bianco's Spring Summer 2012 showings were everything I could've asked for in shoes and more. They've embraced the midi-heel next season making it easy for me to strut around in heels all day long, I'm pretty useless in any heels let alone high ones! They made sure to include some sky high heels for the night and maybe you more adventurous ladies, plus the styles all have some little pop of magic whether it be studs, colour or heel detailing. Here are some of my favs from the new collection to be out in a few months time - get ready, it was hard enough choosing pictures to post let alone buy!
